Another Maggie's Restaurant Review

Except for the difficulty actually finding Maggie's Restaurant, even with a map, everything about this dining experience was just about perfect, from the warmth on the phone when we made our reservation, to the greeting when we arrived, and the meal that we enjoyed there.
Even the folks busing the tables were warm, attentive and engaging at Maggie's, as was Maggie herself. I began with a salad, beautifully plated, with a bright red edible flower in the center, and a light, garlic infused dressing to die for.
My husband had smoked mussels for a starter; he didn't love it, and they did seem very chilled, but I liked it better than he did. Maggie's Restaurant Long Island, NY For dinner, I had the ubiquitous and justifiably famous lobster crepes. I haven't stopped thinking about them ever since, the fabulously rich and nuanced cream sauce.
If I lived near Maggie's, I'd be fat and broke in no time. :-) My husband had crab au gratin, also richly delicious. For the quality of the food, the service and the ambiance, prices at Maggie's seem modest.
Maggie's dessert menu looked wonderful and inviting, but we had no room and passed, something I still have pangs of regret over. We return to Bar Harbor regularly, but this was the first time we made it to Maggie's. It'll be our highest priority on future trips, though.
