It's hard to imagine ever being tired of Acadia National Park... it's certainly impossible to be bored! But, it does rain (often) and gets foggy. And the weather can be cool at times too, even in the summer. So, you might just want to explore beyond the boundaries of the Park for at least a day or two, if you're there long enough.

And the good news is that there are plenty of other things to do if you get the hankering. Of course, you can always just explore Mount Desert Island and the many towns that dot the circumference of its coastline. Each one has its own character and history.

You more "citified" folk might be glad to hear that you can go adventure miniature golfing or drop in at one of 3 local movie theaters! Or how about a concert... a bagpiper concert, that is? Or maybe just a day of shopping in the many quaint shops of Bar Harbor would appeal to you. Explore your choices here
