This "well-kept secret" on a back street in Bar Harbor offers some of the best food in town. Starting life as a fish market, it morphed into a restaurant back in the 1970s and is still run by Maggie herself. Specializing in fresh caught fish/seafood and home-grown organic produce, they offer bistro-style fine dining (French style). Despite the elegance of the food, however, they have a relaxed and warm ambiance. 
This restaurant offers a full menu of traditional and chef-prepared seafood dishes that run from $16.95 to $38.95. You can dine on the pier or indoors. The Chart House is open seasonally only.
