Route 66 Restaurant
Whenever I went to Bar Harbor as a child, I always looked forward going to Route 66 at 21 Cottage Street. The atmosphere is what I enjoyed most about the restaurant.
The Route 66 Restaurant is very nostalgic and reminiscent of the fifties. It is filled with antiques, toy cars, and old signs. As a child, my favorite part of the restaurant was the train that ran around the ceiling.
If you have kids, or you're a kid at heart, you have to eat here! The food is very reasonably priced and isn't too expensive if you are dining on a budget.
However, if you are craving seafood, I would spend the extra money and go somewhere else. Stick with pizza, sandwiches, and the specials, which always seem to be great!
