What Is So Special About Acadia?

Ahh... sit back and picture a place you can get to in hours, but that feels like stepping into a previous century... Imagine a vacation spot that is family friendly, but offers enough thrills and chills to keep the most restless (I'm bored...) teenager happy.

It's a place where in an hour or two you can travel from rocky coast with crashing salt water waves to quiet primeval forest and peaceful lake shores... from busy tourist town to utter quiet away from the crowds.

And what if there were activities for everyone? From easy walks, to challenging rock scrambles to hilly bike rides to swimming or sunbathing at a sandy beach? Or maybe just enjoying a step into history in a local museum?
