The most pet-friendly lodgings are campgrounds, but most of them don't like it when you leave your dog unattended (and barking), so that's not the greatest choice if you plan on going into town a lot or doing activities (like biking on the Acadia carriage roads) that aren't dog-friendly.

In fact, that was one of the biggest barriers for us in bringing our two dogs to Acadia... what the heck would we do with them on our in-town days?
