Bar Harbor Hotel - Bluenose Inn*
My husband and I stayed at the Bar Harbor Hotel Bluenose Inn for two nights last summer. It is pricier than what we’re used to, but we decided to splurge and enjoy a nice weekend getaway. From the outside, the hotel is very impressive looking, with interesting architecture and elegant grounds. The interior is also very nice.
We particularly enjoyed the Rose Garden restaurant, which served delicious meals. My only complaint was that a more private dining facility would have been more romantic.
Our room was quaintly decorated, and very comfortable. I was impressed with how spacious it was, and we had a gorgeous view of the water from our window. It was so nice to sit on the loveseat together in the evenings and watch the sunset.
My favourite feature of our room was the fireplace - it added a certain ambiance that was just the perfect finishing touch. While the inn is out of our usual price range, and is a lot fancier than anything we normally require, it was a lovely and memorable treat for us to stay there.
