Rosalie's Pizza Restaurant Review - Bar Harbor

by Steve
(Boston, MA)

Rosalie's Pizza Restaurant

Rosalie's Pizza Restaurant

One restaurant that my girlfriend and I stopped at on a recent visit to Bar Harbor was Rosalie's Pizza. After a long day of biking the carriage trails around Acadia Park, we decided that we wanted to go out for a pretty low-key quick bite to eat.

We saw Rosalie's Pizza on Cottage Street, right in the center of town, and it was packed. With a line going out the door, we imagined that it must offer a pretty decent pie.

After waiting in line for a while, we ordered a large pizza (cheese), some garlic bread, and a pitcher of soda. Although the service is pretty laid back (seat and order yourself - they bring the food to you), the atmosphere was nice, and reminded us of a regular hometown pizzeria.

My girlfriend, who is usually turned off by garlic, loved the garlic bread, and ate almost the entire thing! The pizza itself was also very nice, and had a delicious sauce and crust.

Overall, I would review Rosalie's Pizza as a great place to grab a tasty pie in Bar Harbor. If you don't feel like doing the whole sit-down dining thing, I would definitely recommend at least grabbing a quick bite from Rosalie's.

We Loved Rosalie's Too NEW
by: Andrei - Romania

Six of us went here the night of July 27 after driving for 5 hours to get to Bar Harbor. We just wanted something quick to get and then take back to the Inn to eat and relax.

We ordered a sausage and a chicken pizza and some subs. You order at the counter downstairs and pick up the order when ready.

While waiting, you can watch the pizza maker throwing the dough in the air, which was fun. They have a few tables downstairs and more upstairs where I think they wait on you.

All the pizzas and subs were very good, probably one of the best pizzas I ever had! It was so good we all went back again a couple of days later!

Thanks, Steve - Sounds Delish NEW
by: Kathi

Thanks for sharing this entertaining restaurant review, Steve. We've never tried this place, but it sure sounds worth trying, despite the crowds.
